Street GRACE has been very careful when it comes to its partnerships with the business community; given our mission, it would be highly unethical to support corporations that are known to turn a blind eye to exploitative child labor. Ensuring that prospective donors in the business world fully support corporate codes of conduct and have an active corporate social responsibility program is extremely important.
The following criteria guide Street GRACE’s merchandising and fundraising efforts with the business community:
- Corporate philosophy must align with that of Street GRACE;
- Corporate approach must support the values of Street GRACE;
- The product or service must be ethically traded and developed — that is, it must be non-exploitative in nature;
- The administrative burden on Street GRACE should be minimal;
- Street GRACE should not have any initial costs;
- and the partnership should benefit Street GRACE as well as others in the community.
